Jo Harris performs for pioneering chamber ensembles and orchestras and collaborates with world class artists and composers.  

Jo’s repertoire spans Bach to Birtwistle for the Britten Sinfonia, London Mozart Players, Orchestra Revolution et Romantique and Welsh National Opera. Her studio work includes numerous recordings for the BBC, Hyperion and Universal Studios. 


Jo was awarded the Park Lane Group Young Artist Award following her studies at the Royal Academy of Music, sparking an interest in working with contemporary composers. She has specialised in performing and recording solo works by Judith Bingham, James MacMillan, Paul Max Edlin and Peter Maxwell Davies. 

Jo’s highly acclaimed performance of Arvo Part’s Miserere with the Hilliard Ensemble and the BBC Singers was broadcast live on BBC Radio 3 and she has performed Capricorn Concerto by Samuel Barber (Presteigne Festival/Presteigne Festival Orchestra) and Trumpet Concerti by Telemann, Haydn, Hummel and Vivaldi. 

Jo appeared as a Guest Artist representing Bella Tromba at the International Women’s Brass Conference in Toronto, Canada. She performs on instruments by Hub Van Laar and uses Denis Wick mutes and mouthpieces.
